News release concerning the resignation of CEO Dr Kellie Marshall

Dr Kellie Marshall has advised the Board of her decision to resign from the role of Chief Executive Officer of Illawarra-Shoalhaven Medicare Local. After many years of service for the Illawarra Division of General Practice, and more recently ISML, Kellie's career has been marked by a broad range of achievements & representative activities at a local, state & federal level.  Kellie would now like to share her positive decision to invest in a well earned career break to spend time with her growing family. There is no doubt Kellie will be missed by her colleagues, both here at ISML and in other organisations with whom we work.

In the circumstances, the Board will be recruiting for a longer-term replacement CEO, rather than a short-term maternity leave replacement. This process has commenced and further information will be released at the appropriate time.

The Board would like to acknowledge the hard work that Kellie has done for the organisation throughout her time here, including her clear dedication to the organisation.   In particular, Kellie has dedicated enormous effort over the course of the journey to making ISML a reality. I am sure all staff and colleagues from her time here will join the Board in thanking Kellie for this contribution.

 We wish Kellie every success in her future endeavours and all the very best to her and her family for whatever the future holds.
